Double Sided Vest

Intrigued by the concept of building a double sided vest, I found an online pattern and some old fabric to start my own project. The design required a great deal of custom sizing, and I spent a lot of time doing math and measuring myself. I first created a mockup and then started on my real fabric.

Once I had my design cut and mostly sewn together, I began the process of creating different appliques for each side. For the brown side, I cut out yellow stars and used a tiny zig-zag stitch along the edges to fully adhere it to the surface. I repeated this process on the green side but with vines.

Finally, I worked with some modeling clay to create custom star buttons for my star size. All I did was shape them, bake them, and apply a thin resin top coat to cure them.

Sewing everything together, I had a completed 2-sided vest!
